The 91st Annual Meeting of the Philalethes Society

9:00–10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting of the Philalethes Society shall be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, Virginia, in a room to be announced on the events board in the lobby of the hotel, to consider and act on all matters which may lawfully come before it. It is being held during AMD Masonic Week.
The meeting agenda will include Annual Reports from the officers for the 2018–2020 term:
- President - R. Stephen Doan, FPS
- First Vice-president - Rasheid Sharrief Al-Bey, MPS
- Second Vice-president - George Haynes, MPS
- Third Vice-president - Benjamin F. Williams, MPS
- Secretary - Terry L. Tilton, FPS
- Treasurer - Bill Miklos, MPS
The agenda will also include consideration of amendments to our Constitution and Bylaws to give us the option to open our membership to students and scholars who share our vision and purpose, without regard to any Masonic status. There will be a few housekeeping amendments proposed also. The final text of the proposed amendments will be posted in writing on the Society's website [VIEW HERE].
The Philalethes Society Luncheon
Following our Annual Meeting, the Philalethes Society will host a luncheon at 12:15 p.m., on Saturday, February 23, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. Our featured speaker will be Masonic author Benjamin F. Williams, MPS.
His topic will be: A Tradition in Cornerstones: Theurgical Practices of Early Civilization Remnant in Masonic
Cornerstone Ceremony. Tickets for this luncheon must be purchased from the AMD Masonic Week organizing
